Interested in the FSSF

Hi,

I have only recently gained an interest in the FSSF ( last 6 months ). Let me explain..................I've been interested in the Vietnam Conflict for some +30 years and more recently Special Forces (SF) from this era. US Military personnel involvement started back in August 1950 under the Military Assistance Advisory Group (MAAG) when 35 men arrived in Vietnam to assist with US weapons training to local troops. US SF were activated in June 1952, recruiting from special ops. units including the FSSF (hence my interest). SF adopted the honors and lineage of the FSSF and the Ranger battalions of WW2, however, they were not used as a strike force, they were used in an advisory capacity to assist in raising local armies, and training the troops.

Do you know of any FSSF vets that served in Nam ?
