Looking for info on 1SSF coin from 1984
Hello all....I collect military challenge coins, and recently came across a 1SSF coin that appears to have been made for the 40th anniversary of the organization. The coin came from the estate of a well-known author of military books. The coin is rectangular, a little over 3" tall. On one side, it reads "Task Force Howze" and has the insignia of the units which participated in operations in Rome. On the other side there is a written history of the operations to liberate Rome, and the dates 4 June 1944 - 4 June 1984. I have been unable to find anything else like it so far, so I'm hoping someone can give me some information about its background, how many were made, what it is worth, etc. Any information is appreciated...thanks!
