I am in the process of having my uncle Stanley kozakiewicz added to the Purple Heart Hall of Honor database. I just learned that he was part of the FSSF. I know very little about him as he died in 1958. He suffered wounds and I understand he lost his leg. On his tombstone, read the initials BSM-PH OLC which means Broze Star, Purple Heart and Oak Leaf Cluster. It also says he was part of the 1st Regiment PFC C02? Not sure what CO2 means.

Does anyone have any info about him or his regiment. I see that on this webpage a quote mentions giving the medal to "the man who lost his leg". I wonder if that could have been him.
