hello all, my quick intro

I am a Canadian Militaria collector. I am primarily interested in the Irish Regiment of Canada. However, it came to my attention last month that there is a slight family connection to the 1SSF. This connection was through my mother and the Neil family. Alvin Neil was a member of the Force. He DOW in January 1944, after an accidental shooting on December 4 1943.

My father is now in possession of Alvin's memorial cross. I am doing the military research for my father into Alvin's life and untimely death.
