SAD NEWS FOR ME.

My friend: ROGER BISHOP: Son of CLINTON BISHOP - 1ST REG - 3RD CO., Who passed away a little over a year ago, committed suicide around the middle of August of this year. No one seems to know why exactly. The reason does not matter to me really. Roger was a friend of mine that I will miss very much. Rodger was laid to rest near his father August 31st. His father was wounded bad enough on Mt. La Difensa to be sent home for his wounds. Rodgers father was a really good man with a great sense of humor. When I asked him if he ever knew my father, or remembered his Duce 1/2, He would tell me "Hell yes, I think he was the one that picked me up and got me away from that damn mountain!" I think That he was just being kind to me, a friend of his sons. And did not want to hurt my feelings by saying "Hell no, I don't remember a damn thing after I was hit!" Which to me would be more likely than not. After I was wounded in Nam, I don't remember anybody that took me from the field to the hospital. Regardless, A FORCEMANS son has passed on know. I truly hope he is with his father, and laughing his butt off at the world that was just to much for him to live in. Good bye Roger Bishop-------You will be missed.
