Luther Harris

My granfather was Luther Harris. I am looking for more information about his service as he didn't talk much about it. He was wounded at Anzio and i would like to find out more about places he had been or anyone that knew him. Sadly he past away a few years ago at the age of 85. In his hometown Winchester, Ky. Thankyou for any help you can give me.

sorry I don't know. Like I said he never really talked much about it. We have photos of him in uniform, and his purple heart. He told us about some of his training and that some of thier hardest fighting was christmas eve and day. He would talk in his sleep sometimes like he was reliving some of the battles, and mention names but I cant recall any of them.
